Illustration Friday: Spooky

This weeks theme is "Spooky," and would you believe that it was the hardest to think of?! I know this month every IF theme I wanted to turn into a Halloween doodle but, spooky? Why did I get stuck on such an obvious theme? Maybe cause it didn't force my noggin' to think! :-P
Anyhoo, Sleepy Hollow is one of my favorite movies, (HOORAY TIM BURTON!) so I went with a cutesy Headless Horseman. That guy spook's the heck out of me, this guy? Not so much, but still cute. :-P

  1. You had trouble with Spooky? Sure just think of anything you would have made for "Steve." But I know how easy it is to get stuck on something. Sometimes you just need to take a step back and well...think of a few of your favorite things. Good work. So what is your plan for the actual day of Halloween? A huge collage of all your Halloween pics?

  4. Hey, I really dig this illustration. Nothing wrong with cutesy. I tell people the style of illustrations I tend to do are "cute with a twist". Check out my blog if you get a chance: http://www.jeremyenglish.blogspot.com

Thanks for sharing. I love the movie as well—good old creepy TB does wonders.

  5. I remember clearly the tales of the headless horseman I was told when I was a child, he apparently 'lived' on the hill behind my grandmothers place...
