It's OCTOBER!

It's been a lil' while since I last posted, but in all fairness, I had wonderful visitors stopping in and staying for a few weeks so I was a bit preoccupied. It didn't EXACTLY stop me from creating a teensy bit though... I'm not an ANIMAL.

Once August hits though, I am full blown Halloween mode. Don't get me wrong, I think about it all year long but August is the time when I start organizing and making plans and creating for this years show we tend to put on for the kiddos. REALLY hoping to make a kid pee their pants this year (Hey.... I set goals alright?!)

First I whipped up this painting. Does anyone recognize this scene? It's from Night on Bald Mountain, one of the animations from Disney's Fantasia. These eerie ghost scenes always gave be the heebie geebies, and I have always wanted to paint them. BOOM. Done.

I did a neat little rock painting art trade with my dear ol' pal, Laura from Comfy/Cozy/Warm (She can literally make anything out of yarn... I mean it! ) She is a fellow Halloweenie and loves the classic horror flicks. So I did Frankenstein's Monster for her. I also whipped up this lil' sugar skull inspired rock.

I was also inspired by the Bride of Frankenstein as well and did a mini portrait on canvas board. I\m hoping to eventually do a classic horror movie family wall. Could look really neat once they are all done.

Thats it for now! I'm hoping to get a bit of crafting done within the next week or two for a craft fair coming up. Stay tuned!
